Source for good reproduction GP battery or shell

Post by nwarcade » Sun Jun 27, 2021 8:58 pm

Hi All,
Are there any good reproduction batteries or battery shells available for the GP? I found an old post referencing a Model: G1F/RF/E battery that used to be manufactured by Antique Auto Battery but the company appears to be defunct.

Google Jim's Battery Mfg. in Youngstown, OH.

He and his wife bought them out and he is located at the same address but with a different phone number. He was the guy that built the batteries for Antique Auto Batteries and when the owner died they bought the business from the family.

Good Luck,
Peter

I've been trying for weeks to contact Jim's Battery. Get the answering machine but the voice mail is totally full. Has anyone successfully contacted them? Are there any other sources for a good repro battery or shell for the GP?

Check Jim's ratings, not good.

Thanks Dan,
I'm finding that also. Is there someone you can recommend?

Rory and a another fellow are just about to release a shell and top that will fit a modern optima. Check with him for availability.
