Series 2 GP grill blackout marker lights.

Post by Michael O. » Tue Apr 27, 2021 2:53 pm

Did the Series-2 GPs use the standard blackout marker lights in the grill, or the earlier style? I’ve seen some Series-2 British contract GPs with what looks like the standard grill marker lights installed. Thanks in advance.

What was the marking on them? Without marking like other early ones?

As I recall there were no markings on the lights and there was a brass wedge conforming to and under the base of the light to level the light housing in the grill. But you can use a standard WW2 light and it will work fine.
