Hi all,
I have what I think is the correct offset top filter for my GP but the top is open. It doesn't appear to be threaded for a plug so I'm not sure what's going on with this unit. It looks to be unused but maybe someone drilled it out in the past for some reason, or is this just a different model all together?

Ther should be a big nut on top and possibly an internal tooth washer. The big nut holds it onto the mounting bracket.

Thanks GPWMike,
I was originally asking about the top of the filter being open but I discovered this is actually a different model filter than what should be on the GP. This one has the fuel outlet on the top with a shutoff on the side, where the correct filter is closed on the top with the inlet and outlet on the sides. This unit looks very similar but is totally incorrect for the GP.
