No they are set up for the dry filter. I had about 5 of John’s filters and they all had the dry filter. Can you send me a picture of the one you are talking about ? Maybe it is a original one. I think all of Johns were stamped.

I have what is believed to be a Kirst-Causey repro filter for sale if anyone is interested. $400 or trades. (solid wheels ????) MB/GPW parts??? Make offers?

I think John made a few oil bath filter inserts. I bet this is one of them.

There was an article I read maybe 15 years ago about using a ford car oil bath insert into a Gesink air filter. Unfortunatey, I do not remember the specific year, but it talked about removing just the oil bath holder and welding it into the repro

I can understand the idea of having an original oil bath air filter that was made for the GP however, if you have a oil bath from another Ford filter that wasn't the same, why not just have the dry filter and not deal with the mess and the hazmat disposal/recycle ?

Gotta say though, John did make some really nice filters back then. Never gonna take that away. He is the Michelangelo of GP repro parts.
