GP Thermostat

Post by DUKE » Mon Jul 23, 2018 1:33 pm

Hi all. I purchased my GP last year so I am new to the GP world. Looking for any info on obtaining a thermostat for my GP. I pulled the radiator and found no thermostat. My manual says it should be a 180 degree one, but when I search on the "tractor" supply sites the only one I can find is 160 degree one. Any info would be appreciated. Thx in advance.

Hi DUKE,

GP jeeps use the standard Ford ONY 8575 thermostat usually available from Macs or any tractor parts shop.

Not sure which manual you have but the TM10-1101 lists checking it starts to open at 145 degF and fully open at 185 degF

Here is a link to a previous discussion. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=184929

REAL jeeps have BAR GRILLES and FLAT FENDERS. The rest are imitations.
