Re: Found PE-95A with a GP Head
A lot of these generators were manufactured using the ford 9N style or base motor. It has been noted that most of them have the fuel pump cover plate and GP cast head. If it does not have GP stamped with the serial number on the oval pad it it is unlikely a motor from a GP. How ever most of the engine parts are the same.
Typically the oil pan, Distributor, Carburetor and Manifolds are different than what GP motor used.

Thanks Roger. That makes sense and goes with what I found online as well. Any guess as to what the stamped number, "34724" would represent?

No! would be the short answer. I would guess that it has something to do with an identity marking for or by the manufacture.

I was finally able to pick up with generator and take a few close up pictures. They're still out there hiding!
