Re: Gp motor mount
The big cast cover on front of the engine or a steel frame mount?

Looking for this, for both left and right side. it looks like maybe it’s all riveted and one piece, not sure, I’ve never seen one with my own eyes. Thanks

Thats pretty much the front cover of the engine and the mount for driverside,, passenger side is molded into the cover. I need one too as mine is broken,, somebody has one as i have an offer for one with a real stupid price,

Re: Gp motor mount
Guys,
We've been working on the project to "re-cast" the cover for a few months now. Good news is the foundry is reviewing the drawings and model and hope to pour metal in a few weeks. Then machine work; holes, threads, final cleaning, etc. Our goal is to have at least a few in time for the MVPA Convention in DeMoines.
At this time we plan on just the cast part. Therefore for us to make a complete ready to bolt in unit we need your "donor" stamped steel piece to rivet to the casting. OR you can do the riveting assembly yourself.
Will keep updates posted.
Brad

Re: Gp motor mount
What did it cost to weld it? It is only a good tig weld, would probably bake the oil out of it first, I sourced a complete original front mount assy, so when i am ready i will repair and sell this one or use one of Brad's castings to make one whole again.

This guy specializes in cast metal welding. Mine cost about $600 yo fix. Probably higher now as this was several years ago. It is perfect though. Let me know if you want contact info.
