I don't know where I came up with that as I have some NOS Mirror Arms on my shelf that I tagged MA that match the one in the photo Chris posted.

I am pretty sure MA used a hex nut mirror arm, I can supply several original pics, even after wwii still having this arm in CZ.
On the other hand, after exact examination, the arm on Chris’s pics has a little different shape where the tubes are pressed/closed and is longer than MA one.

Here's the NOS Arm that I have. The large hole is for a 3/8" bracket bolt smaller hole is for the 1/4" screw size of the mirror head.
Looks like an MA Arm doesn't it?

It is late 60's era M-Series, earlier , including WWII has a "Set Screw" for adjusting the length. This may be M-151 or M-715.
Indeed, it looks like them.

60's-70's M-Series replacement from my spares. No secrets here, and it is "MA" close.
