firestone vs sta NDT
I bought a CJ-3B last month and it has atturo tires. I'm planning to replace them with NDT's. I'm torn between Firestone and STA. Does anyone have personal experience with these tires? Other recommendations are welcome also. Thanks.

CJ-3B could come with either 7.00X15 Goodyear All Service (NDT) or Goodyear 6.00 X 16 All Service (NDT).

Hello,
I personally prefer the Firestones made by Coker Tires.
I have them on my GPW, they look great, but as Ben said your jeep could use 2 sizes of tires.
You can look at Coker's website and see a nice selection of jeep tires available.
There are also some nice looking vintage knobby type tread patterns that look great, and may give you better traction.
Regardless, once you find the tire you want, check the Summit Racing website, as the price would be the same usually, and include free shipping for you tires.
Also buy good tubes for your tires, the only ones worth using are made in South Korea and available from ebay sellers, and maybe Coker has them as well.
But ......... avoid Chinese made ones, as others have reported they are garbage.
( The Chinese made tubes that I bought for my 5610 Ford tractor front tires were totally garbage as soon as they were aired up. )
Good Luck,
Ray

Put Firestone 700x16 NDCCs on it, like on the M38s; makes them sit up higher and look 100% better. That is what I did on my Cj2a.
600 tires makes them look like toys.
