Bumperettes optional on 2-A ?

I read somewhere that You could get Bumperettes as an option on a 2-A , has anyone else heard of this?
1951 M38 plus 4
The good thing about having alot of old jeeps is,it makes it more difficult for your wife to tell when you bring another one home.

My Dad had 2 jeeps in the 60's, one being a 56 DJ and I remember it had bumperettes, I was in high school at the time and would occasionally drive them.

The A-1157 Bumperette was not listed in the CJ-2A amd CJ-3A Factory Parts Lists of the 40's. They would require removal of the Drawbar.

How many timers has "I used to drive one of these in the Army" resulted in a would be driver going thru all kinds of contorsions while he is standing on the plunger? :wink:
