Hello,
I have found a kit and i'm ready to buy it.I want to ask if someone used this kit?I drive the jeep in highways and it's really dangerous and tedious to drive with 45-50 miles. Is this 25% gain will make the difference?I'm searcing for something to help my engine work on smaller RPM's and gain some speed.I know that it will not modify my jeep into a modern car
Some photos installed will help!
Thanks
George

Re: saturn overdrive on M38A1??
you need to do a search & you will find a heap of stuff on one of Marty's thread with pictures & installation stuff. Except for the input gear teeth numbers [you will be asked for these] the type of Jeep is not important.

Re: saturn overdrive on M38A1??
I drive a CJ2-A daily with an L-134 engine, and Saturn overdrive. It most certainly reduces engine rpms, by around 20% or more, but I still try to stay off interstates and similar roads. Even with the overdrive, I am pedal to metal and it is very scary. One is pushing the vehicle too hard plus it still doesn't go fast enough! Most folk out there are going 65-70 mph. Uphill!
Buy and install the overdrive - it is a very good piece of equipment. But stay off the superhighways!

The good thing about having alot of old jeeps is,it makes it more difficult for your wife to tell when you bring another one home.
