Repair panel for forward floor

Post by JeeperJim » Wed Jan 26, 2011 6:43 pm

I recently purchased a pretty good tub from Arizona from a '46 2A.
The owner before me had put a 289 V8 in the jeep so he ruined the grill and the frame.
The tub was only hacked in one small area.
It had the T90 tranny with an adapter kit and he or she cut about two inches out of the right side and about 4 to 5 inches long.
I have an M38 body for the other jeep that I am going to restore and I was playing around with the removable floor cover.
I discovered that the lower removable panel is almost identical to the CJ2A floor and was wondering if anyone has one that they would part with or perhaps a 2A tub that is being scrapped out that has this area still in tact.
The M38 panel would be the best thing as it is more easily shipped and less trouble to cut out of an old tub.

The reason for this is that the edge of the hole for the tranmission access panel has been cut off with a torch and they extended it up into the area for the the transfer case shift levers.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
