MZ rear seat box

A little background... I had only photos of the box to start with, followed by the List of Parts and finally an original box lid and cushion. The above shows the original cushion and lid.

I could not at the time figure out how the mounting of the box to the floor fit together as it was not shown anywhere. So I used a similar wood spacer to the front seat and Robin says he thinks he used one 1" x 2".

Both are wrong.

The MZ-1 List of Parts calls for:

On page 1 of in Section 19-2A Wood Parts 4 each A-12155 Filler, Cross Sill

On Page 17 of 19 Section 19-2D Metal Parts after Paint, A-12153 & A-12154 Cross Sill 2 each for each part.

Also at the bottom of the page is 4 each 51279 Nails for fastening the wood filler to the 4 cross sills.

On Page 18 of 19 for same the fasteners for the Box that are 2-1/4" and 1-5/8" long.

I still, after 15 years have no idea how we can have two different cross sills with the same wood filler and two different lengths of bolts holding a flat bottomed box to the flat back floor.

So. anyone have an original box?
