1951 CJ V35/U

Post by maverick600 » Sat Mar 30, 2019 6:11 am

I have recently acquired this jeep but do not know much about it. Apparently it was running a few years ago but it has been neglected. I have not been able to find any information on wiring schematics as far as ignition, starter, etc. It has the starter with the push rod for the starter. I'm thinking its 12v but not sure?
Any help will be much appreciated. As soon as I can figure out how to post some pictures I will.

What is the serial number of your CJ-V35? I have 10588. Email photos to me and I can post them for you. 52cj3a@gmail.com

The wiring is very similar to a CJ-3A so that would be a good starting point http://www.cj3a.info/tech/Elecpart.html

Wow! Nice V35/U!

Don' stop the photos... how about some of the engine compartment and drivetrain?

I see you appear to be missing the generator mount just behind the transfer case, is the PTO still there?

I’m loving the seat out of a bus. You never know what gets bolted to these old Jeeps. Nice looking Jeep though.

If you are referring to the rear seat in the picture, it has the cushions from the front seats sitting on the back seat. I moved them back there so I can investigate what kind of shape the wiring is in.
Thanks though, she is in pretty good shape for her age.
