APU used by Navy and Air Force

Post by toms52willys » Fri Jun 15, 2018 1:10 pm

I am looking for Navy Or Air Force auxiliary power units on Jeeps made by O.E.Szekely of Philadelphia PA.
Production was late 40's until about 1953 or so.
Some were powered with go devil engines but a number were powered with f-head engines thus the need for the triangle bump on the hood.
The APU were also built by the Valentine Company as well also would be interested in them.
There was an ebay auction back in 2006 or 2007 when 4 of the units were sold the seller thinks they went to Iowa or Ohio.If you know any thing about this sale I would like to hear from you.
I know of one unit in Connecticut. There is a Valentine in Indiana. The U.S.S. Midway is working restoring one as well.
If you look at the web for APU much of what you find is either for me or NIC.
Thanks for reading my post and any help you can give.
