APRIL 18, 1942 PLUS 77 YEARS, B-25 MOMENT IN TIME

16 B-25 Bombers Led by Lt. Dol James H. Doolittle took off the deck of the USS HORNET-TARGET TOKYO.

Photo taken by Ben Dover a couple years ago out of Dow Field, Maine from the left waist position of B-25 "Betty's Dream". Thoughts of that famous moment in time were going thru my mind at the time.
The Tank Farm is about 1 mile from Dow Field, a WWII Army Air Force Base.

A day late, April 18, is the date of the Doolittle raid on Tokyo.
