I just purchased a WWII Case VAIW tug.
Besides the few pictures through Google there is little infomation out there about this rig.
Anyone have a pictures of these or their sisteer the Clarktor in service during WWII at forward air bases or Bomber bases.
It will be OD but I need to correct the lettering from what was installed by the seller. Looking for pics that show lettering, stars, etc.
Also looking for the TM for this. TM 10-1623
Thanks,
Bill

Re: USAAF Tug (Case Military Airplane Tractor Tug Model VIAW-3)
I have a 1945 Case Miltary Airplane Tractor Tug, Model VIAW-3, that looks identical to yours with the 5 bolt rear wheels. I'm looking for advice on removing rear wheels in order to replace leaking wheel seals. I have the operating and service manual but there is no mention of the rear wheel removal process.

Re: USAAF Tug
I have not removed mine and don't want to provide you with any incorrect procedure.
