Yikes, thanks for posting. I haven’t checked too recently for an update. I feel fortunate as I was on a flight only a handful of flights before this one.

Hmm so the man responsible for the shortcomings flew the plane that killed him?

Better to wait for the NTSB report before making much of a judgement. The revocation letter has some of the info from the NTSB, but isn't worded appropriately for how they do reports. I would suspect the quotes are off of notes and will be better written and defined in the final report. Some of the information presented is troubling and not good, but without seeing the hard data and photos, it's hard to determine the true severity.

Totally agree get all the facts. I flew on 909 3 years ago with that pilot.

What a tragedy for the lives lost, the injured that will deal with that horror for years to come, and the loss of such a beautiful aircraft. I fear someday there will be no WWII aircraft allowed or able to fly. THAT will be a truly sad day!
