STILL Trying to ID G103 part number

Post by bcresto6566 » Mon Jun 18, 2012 7:26 pm

I have an nos crated part I am trying to identify. The part number is G103-56-29796. The box is stamped "coil" but I believe it may be an electric pulse fuel pump. Thanks for any help.

From my files from an old-time major surplus deal this part was described as " Coil pump solenoid box", ordnance drawing. No C129796, FSN- 2920-00-562-9796. They had no history of buying or selling this part. There is no reference to this part in late war M5/M5A1 parts book. ...... Brian

Interesting there is no history of buying or selling yet we have them in 1952 dated crates.

I don't doubt the part exists but the meticulous card- files of a one-time world's largest military vehicle surplus dealers has a reference to the part but no record of the part being bought or sold. And they dealt with virtually every army in the "free" world. They also tracked all other large dealer's inventories so they could source the part when needed: pre-computer of course.

Be careful what you buy.
I bought a lot of G104 gauges that didn't fit an of said vehicle. I salvaged the the brass nuts, flat washers off of them and scrapped the brass cases
Some parts just end up homeless.
