M3A1 Scout car info needed

Post by 68Kiwi » Sat Aug 10, 2019 1:55 am

Hi all,

Picked up a Scout car recently with all original armour ,would like a build date and a USA number if anyone can help.
Original data plate-
Serial#268176
ORD# 17035

Does anyone have the correct lengths for all the hood bow tubes..
What is the correct length of the leather pioneer tool straps..
Could anyone post a photo of the metal straps/clamps that attach the M3 .50 tripod to the rear of the scout car, the original ones are there but they appear to have been straightened at some stage...so I would like to get them correct to fit the tripod.

Also looking for a few parts,

1 body footman loop
Master cylinder cap
Skate rail trolley
Dash trouble light socket
Complete speedo cable
Master cylinder access floor plate
Gear and transfer shift knobs
Gear lever leather boot

Cheers
Dan

Dan if you are after a skate rail trolley there is an excellent repro one ( not mine) for sale in Melbourne for Aus $1600
Postage to NZ should be acceptable, although it is heavy.
If interested please PM me,
Anyway, welcome to the world of the White Scout Car. It is a great vehicle with presence, and you will get a lot of fun out of it.

Dan you are a bit unlucky. Apparently it sold last week. I will keep a lookout for other parts.

Rod Shaver is a great scout car resource. He’s got a 100% complete one.
