Just bought a pinzy! need info?

Post by Torchd » Thu Jul 31, 2008 4:16 am

HI.

Im a newbie here. I've just bought a 716 1992 pinzy... and need information on that... like anything i can know about it.. engine specs, is it all time four wheel drive? how can i engage the diff locks?

Would some one know whats the PCD on the pinzy? it has five bolts and can i install 15 inch rims on it instead of 16's?

Would appreciate all the help.

Thanks.

Torched
As you can tell, this particular forum doesn't see a whole lot of use. If you go to www.rockymountainmoggers.com they have a link to a Pinzgauer page (probably called "rockymountainpinzgauers"). There is a lot more pinz/mog posting over there and I'm sure someone from that site can answer your question.
Good Luck,
Matt

Where are you located?
...and how did you get a pinz that new? The accepted age of pinz imported into the US is 25 years Min.
Is it titled and registered?
I have a 1973 M710 and it is in great shape.
You have me really curious.

also go to 4x4forums.com for lots of pinz talk.

Krick3tt

Torched may be from Canada and they have different import regs up there than we do down here. There is a person on this forum also from the "great white north" that has an M716. Between the Canuks being able to import diesel Pinzis to the folks in the UK being able to run tracked stuff on the street, I have to say, I'm kind of jellous..... :P
