WTB Engine L134

Post by Ratfinkbob » Tue Jul 20, 2021 6:30 am

Hello!
I am in need of an engine block for a 1943 Jeep. The original one we have is cracked from the front to the back thanks to the cold snap we had here in Fort Worth, Texas back in February.
The re-casted blocks are all unavailable due to COVID shutting down the casting plants and they haven't gone back into production yet so original is my only hope.
This Jeep is a WWII Jeep that is owned by the Commemorative Air Force and it is essential we stay original as possible anyway.
Let me know what's out there!
Thanks!
Robert

Sorry I can't help but did you happen to know Harlan Short? He passed a few years ago from pancreatic issues. He hung out quite a lot with the DFW-CAF.

Seth, he has an email listed as a contact. Give that a try.

I’m just south of Dallas and have one. If it’s for the CAF I’m happy to trade for a couple of passes to the October show. it. It’s a post war block with no cracks.
