I did the full restoration 15 years ago. Internet was not what it’s now and relied heavily on a Willys specialist here in Colombia, and some books
Now I’m going to do a small paint job and noticed that the distributor and generator are not the correct ones. The car was delivered dec 1942. But I was thinking maybe in using a IAD 4008 Autolite. Also the break drums were not the correct ones.

12 of 42 would be the igc4705 with maybe a 11w date code.
4008 did not come into play till 44 per jeep draw.

i have some early ones, will see what date codes i have and weather they need rebuilding or can be used as is. will be a few days at least.

There’s no hurry. It has been working fine with his non original distributor and it’s done 2000 miles in 15 years.
