WTB: MB parts for ‘45 Restoration

Post by Irwin42 » Sun Mar 07, 2021 3:34 pm

Hello.

Restoring a Feb. 45 MB and trying to source these original parts to complete it. Condition doesn’t matter much as long as it is workable.

Front Bumper
Rear Foot Rests
Doorway Safety Strap Bracket with Bolt
Top Bow Arms and Mounting Hardware
Late War Spare Tire Foot Rest / Retaining Disc
Drivers Seat - Large Mouth

Feel free PM or email photos to:

AARON.LRD@GMAIL.COM

Thanks.

Our host, Ron Fitzpatrick should have most or all of those items in stock. Just click of the G.503 at the top of this page then look for the items that you need.....-RG

While Adam was typing I was taking pictures. No worries, Adam was first, but here’s the picture just the same. These were cut (not by me!) out of an MB with a toeboard gusset number of 255889. 6 of the 8 original bolts are included. The A is good on some but worn on others. If Adam doesn’t have what you need I can clean up the bolt heads and send better pictures.

I also have one or two original doorway safety strap swivel brackets. The shape of one is different from the reproductions so it may be earlier production.

Pictures won’t go from my phone. When I get back in the house I can post them from my laptop

Thanks Adam, I just didn't want to be rude.

Here's the pictures. The top strap pivot piece is reproduction while the other two are original, but notice the different shape on one on the lower right. If interested PM me and we can work out price and payment details. If it helps, I need a transmission crossmember. The one I have is for a T90 and I'm putting the T84 in to make it right. I'll post a "for trade" ad later after I clean it up and check condition.

Thanks for the replies, gents.

JAB, Definitely interested in foot rests and the bottom right pivot bracket matches the passenger doorway one on my MB.

PM Sent.

Thanks again Jeff for the wonderful parts.

The footrests came out beautifully. The non circular "D" shaped pivot bracket is a late war stamped type. :)

Still looking for some important exterior pieces before I hunt my engine.
