Used ring gear, pinion, and case.

Post by danover321 » Sun Sep 06, 2020 3:20 pm

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a good used gear set and case (Dana 23/25 with no out of spec run out) It's ok if they are well used with mild (limited) pitting as long as they are usable. Hopefully someone has a discarded set they wouldn't mind parting with. These will be used in a farm rig project and not a roadworthy restoration. Let me know what you might have?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

If of interest, I have some NOS unmatched Ford marked ring gears and pinions. They are loose and I haven't checked over them to see if a set/pair can be made, hence selling as unmatched.

If interested, I would sell a pair for $100AU plus post. If interested, I can work out post to the US, but also understand if this isnt an offer you'd be interested in due to post cost etc (and i`m sure you would find a decent used set closer to home!).

Cheers,
Ian.

Hello Ian, thank you for your response; however, I'm looking for something closer to home. I'm sure someone will take you up on those unmatched sets, as I believe they can be lapped to match.

Again, thank you and stay safe.

No worries Dan, i understand completely! My logic too was they can be played with the match and at the end of the day, for the amount of driving most jeeps do if the pattern on the teeth is slightly out, it may not bother some people.

Glad you've found something!

Cheers,
Ian.
