Hello,
We have an early MB frame under our '42 GPW; we are looking for rear shock mounts and maybe some salvageable front bumper gussets either top or bottom.
Prefer some take offs over new ones. If you can help, please let us know.
Thank you,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Tom had a NOS left rear for sale on ebay a few months back. Not sure if it sold or not.

I might have a NOS one if Tom doesn't have his any more. I am not sure if it is a rear though. I will check for you.
Good luck in your hunt.
Ian.

Re: Wanted: MB style Rear Shock Mounts, Front Bumper Gusset Take-Offs
Hello,
I should have mentioned it earlier, but we really only need the forward half of each bumper gusset piece, as we plan to graft them onto the original gussets so that we can preserve the factory frame rivets.
We still need a pair of rear shock mounts. I appreciate the lead on the NOS pieces, but they will likely be too fancy for our old jeep, especially since our GPW is more of a father/son put-together-project instead of an accurate restoration. I would be happy to find an old and rusty pair to match the rest of our frame.
Thanks again,
Daniel
