Have MB109651 stripped block that I can take to Aberdeen, Md in a few weeks. Think that would be slat grill.
Would love GPW around Aug 42. But I'm easy, it may have a crank too. Has a cam in it but ugh!

Looking for an MB block close to MB111414.

Also, still hoping to find GPW 2647 and GPW 104111.

I have several MB and GPW motors to trade. See my list on page 18!

When listing motors for sale it is great if the original crankshaft is still in it, but more to the point....if the bare block does NOT have the original bearing caps for the crank that will seriously diminish the value of that block. Using any old caps and having to align bore them to spec is not something you do in your garage at home and is not cheap to have done in most machine shops.

The more of the "bolt-ons" that are included, the higher value it will have.
Posting the date stamped on the oil pan gasket surface for your MB block and the date wheel code or cast-in date below the dist. as well as the stampings on the boss behind the oil strainer will avoid several back-and-forth requests for that exact info.

Here is one

Thanks - I think this block was listed here on the G503 awhile back. If I recall, it has a busted out cam bearing saddle (which I think you can actually see in the eBay photos). As I understand it (and I'm a complete novice), that missing saddle makes repair very difficult (i.e. impossible). Which bums me out because it's right in the S/N zone I need!

Here are the pictures of my July 44 block. It has 500 miles on it since overhaul back to standard or just slightly over. It was only taken out of the Jeep to be replaced with a more correctly dated one.

Located in Santa Maria, CA . Open to offers!
