Re: Need following Parts for M274
Hi There! I just recently joined this forum because I bought a new M274A5 from Terry at Mechanical Mules of America to compliment my fleet (M109A4 military RV, M448 trailer, and FLU-419). Terry told me just last week that he is having issues finding fuel pumps (Airtex 73105, 1202, RD379) and this is holding up his business.
I have been able to find a few in Canada, Argentina and now in Germany and have arranged to purchase all of them. That's not many and probably not enough to meet current and future demands for the industry. I also have plenty of contacts in Mexico among the vintage truck collectors who recommend I find or design and make repair kits for these. If there is enough demand, I am sure that I can find people who make completely new ones up through 3D scanning, aluminum foundries, etc. I have contacts who can do all of these things for me.
Can I get a quick show of hands if this is worth pursuing and an indication of how many might be required for the next 5 years? How much would people be willing to pay for a pump or repair kit?
I don't know John Emery, but will reach out to him. If he has plenty and a supply source, then I guess I have my answer.

I only use electric pumps now, the Airtex 1202 is too unreliable. See: viewtopic.php?f=148&t=260644
BTW, John Emery has added the fuel pump block off plates to his inventory.
