84 m1009 6.2 wont stay running

i have a 1984 m1009 6.2 starts and runs for about 10 sec and stalls

it sounds like it is running out of fuel . i changed the fuel filter .

can it be the injector pump ?

Chester,

This post should actually be under the "1/2 ton to 2 ton" board but I believe your fuel pump could be the problem rather than the injector pump.

Pull the return line off of the top of the injector pump and see if fuel comes out when you try to start it.
Next, pop the top off of the injector pump ...carefully (the gasket)
See if the cutoff lever is moving.
HEY, I think it might be.....
You got the pink run wire and the fast idle wire on top of the injector pump reversed. That will do it every time. I know, I did it once. Ha!
