Does anyone know if the GM 7127-sen alternator is low speed turn on?

Googled it and it seems that some dealers offer the 7127 with low cut in available.
One wire GM alternator is a great option for lots of hot rod and antique vehicle owners

Would a generator be an option?

I believe if you do a search there was a discussion on the use of generators. I think guys were using ones from old cadet lawn tractors

I think that discussion pertains to the Cub Cadet starter/generators as an easy way to add an electric starter to the 4-cylinder mule engines.
