M274 paint color

Post by bms07 » Fri Feb 14, 2020 12:19 pm

Trying to figure out the correct paint color from Gillespie paints. My 1959 M274 is supposed to be 24087. But they have changed the color after 1984. From Gillespie it has a brownish tint. Not correct. So do I use 23070? Always had no complaints with Gillespie paints. So what do I use?
Thanks Brad

I like Army Jeep Parts custom Gillespie AJP WW-II semi-gloss. I think it is the best match for post WW-II vehicles and early M-series vehicles. It does not have that "UPS Brown" that you see on the later paint.
