Coast Guard Cutter Alert Museum sunk at moorings

Post by dilvoy » Tue Nov 02, 2021 3:49 pm

I heard that homeless people were living on it for years and that it sank yesterday, but can not find any info about it. Anyone know anything?

Must be this one George, but not full of homeless, not Coast Guard, maybe something newer has occurred.

Yep, totally missed in searching for that one, came up with another boat that sunk off San Francisco's Fisherman's Warf last month.
Good find, shame she sunk and will likely end up in a scrap yard eventually.

What a shame to see this. Would of been nice if something else could of come from it. The Tug would been nice to restore. Erie ,Pa could of used it in our museum with the Brig Niagara.
