Has anyone here restored a LVT Alligator or Buffalo? If yes, would you do it again?

Re: LVT Alligator and Buffalo
I have one - but have not restored it yet - parts are a challenge but I see no reason why I would not do it all over again

Re: LVT Alligator and Buffalo
Thought I would bring up this old thread.
How many forum members own a LVT?
Has anyone put together a list of surviving LVT's and their location?
Are there any restored or unrestored LVT's for sale?
How difficult is it to source parts?

I think there are 3 or 4 here...

Yes - Pierre-Olivier Buan, a gentleman from France maintains a list:

There is one I know of for sale - in PA, asking was 50k (missing the cab and repowered) I have little to no other info.
How difficult is it to source parts?
Depending on the parts it can be near impossible or not so terrible - they share a lot of common parts with a M3/M5 stuart tank (which is not super common to start with)
If you are serious all these questions can be answered by just networking in the military vehicle community
