U mean u have type 3 and type 4 track as there was two different 15” track a 55 and 56 Type 1 and type 2 track. Ur boogie wheels closes to the drive sproket should be 2,” higher then the boogies next to it
Okay thanks for pointing that out. I have type 3 and 4. The type 3 has the correct rise as you mentioned and type 4 does not. See images. Tighten it up more or wrong track no can do? I want to be ginger about over tightening it. Pop!

I don’t want to derail the thread but the information in last few posts should help ID what kind of track you have. Weaseler,
Was the type 4 produced with 55 and 56 grouser tracks? Am I better off having an identical set? Thanks for your help

Hello. I use type 3 caterpillars at home, but in the configuration of 55 spurs. I believe that the type of spurs is of no importance, the correctness of the length of the conveyor belts and the distance between the spurs themselves, for 55 spurs it is 60mm (measured between the rivet centers) for 56 spurs 57.15mm. I think that even the diameter of the wheels does not matter, it's only 6mm.
I compared toothed wheels of the first types, narrow the latter with grave teeth and the only difference is the graves have 3mm higher teeth

I have a source for road pads. The gentleman doing them has spent a fortune on molds and r&d and wants to start selling sets. PM me for contact info.

I ordered several hundred feet of new 4” wide by 1/2” thick 3 ply conveyor belt and will have a bunch left over. It was a trimming from a larger belt that needed to be customized. Let me know if interested I can work up a quote just send a shipping zip.

My weasel has type 2 and 3 tracks on it. Tension seems to be the same and sprockets not worn but the type 3 jumps or skips if you will. It is an nos track with a couple miles on it. Are the sprockets a different pitch? Type 2 has 56 and type 3 55 correct?
Thanks
