WTB: US Navy contact maker

Post by jfo137 » Fri Jul 06, 2018 2:36 pm

Looking for a WWII era US Navy contact maker/alarm switch. Attached is a photo of one style but I would be interested in any of the other types!
Thanks!

There were some more modern ones listed on ebay - came off the USS Blackhawk (should come up if you search for that) not affiliated with the seller so that's about all I know...

Looked like 3 or 4 units - general alarm, collision, and chem attack

Hope that helps...

I have one on the WWII USCG 83 footer I am restoring but it is just for the general alarm and is definitely getting restored and staying put ;)

Just under the sound powered phone jack in the stack of switches

Regards

Matt

Matt,
Thanks for the info. I have seen those more modern ones on eBay. I restored a 1942 dated H-9 dive alarm and wanted to match it up with a era contact maker.
Looks like you have quite the project going. Would love to see more photos!
Regards,
Jim
