UPDATE:

Information provided via email -

The Caboolture Historical Village is assembling a Heritage Day with the aim to establish an annual event. The purpose of the Heritage Day will be to educate and connect people to local history, demonstrate traditional methods used to build, make, bake and create, and show the skilled art forms of craftsmen and craftswomen of yesterday. We would like to invite you to participate, and we are looking to have a special parade just for the vintage machines specifically.
With a historical village filled with buildings full of period history it is the perfect backdrop for such an event. It will be defined by the period of time predating 1945 to showcase vintage and veteran elements. We are working to include as many different demonstrations and displays as possible from textile crafts, cars, motorcycles, lumber jacking, metal and woodwork and to the less familiar like luthier, steam models, horse and buggy and Whittling. We welcome as many different displays, demonstrations and artisans as we can find to participate in the event.
The event will include live entertainment in the form of a live band, traditional dancers, re-enactments and three parades throughout the day and potential evening. The Antique Machinery Restoration Society of Queensland (AMRSQ) will hold their twilight rally in conjunction with this event which will include a twilight parade where lanterns and vehicles will be used. As this has not been finalised yet the end time for the event is not yet firm. Where some displays and vehicles will require departure prior to a 7pm end time due to the nature of them we will include opportunities for this to occur. (e.g. vintage and veteran vehicles)
What: Heritage Day 2023
When: Saturday 22nd of July 2023 9am to (4pm/7pm – TBA)
Where: Caboolture Historical Village – 280 Beerburrum Rd, Caboolture 4510
Participants will be provided with a minimum 3m x3m space in which they may set up a gazebo to display whatever they wish pertaining to their organisation, Business or group. Some displays will be incorporated into existing buildings and halls and depending on the type of display or space required to demonstrate we can work with you to find the best place for you to set up. There is no cost for this year to participate. You are welcome to fundraise for your group or sell items made. We will encourage as many participants as possible to dress in period clothes for the day and will provide information on how this can be done easily and cost effectively.
Please confirm your intention to participate as soon as possible. This will allow us to allocate you a suitable location, identify and organise any requirements you may have and promote the event with participants highlighted. An additional event package will be forwarded to you will further details for the day on confirmation of your attendance.
If you have any questions or would like to come and review potential sites at the village, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0432 903 363 or by email at events@historicalvillage.com.au
