Post by Jon » Wed Aug 27, 2014 2:02 am

After the Rims I started on the drums, dragged out what's been sitting there all these years. Took one look. Well I'll beef hooked..

I have 4 left Side drums. that is. drums fitted with left hand studs

Does anyone have some right hand side that are usable ?.
If so. I could pick up at Canungra......

Today's effort........some clown had painted the inside of the drum. and I mean everywhere........ FFS...... half finished sandblasting this first drum.....

If drums & hubs are good remove the old studs you don't want [plenty of instructions on how to do, if not ask, but don't use a hammer or that old press].
Good idea to change all to RH threads anyway....

Understand how system parts interact with one another. GOOD parts can then be established & the NOT GOOD problem/s part/s isolated for repair or replacement.

G'day Harry.....
Ian picked up some hub/drum assemblies for me from the Marathon Auction, so I'm sorted in that department. Also. Ian found me some front hub flanges, ( F marked too. WhooHooooo) so all I'm missing now is two axles, short and long for the rear ......

Time to go hunt in your shed I think...........:)
