Problemi con parte anteriore

Post by kobay » Tue Sep 28, 2021 5:07 am

Grazie

Re: Problemi con parte anteriore

"Hello everyone, given that I have recently changed the front tires and leaf springs. After this it happens to me that during the march above 20 miles if one of the two wheels runs through a depression, a hole or even the tram rails, the wheels begin to vibrate and oscillate (rotation on the vertical plane in the direction of travel). To understand, they suddenly move left and right and the steering together with them. As the speed decreases, normal performance is restored.
What may have happened? You know how to help me.
Thanks"

There are multiple points to inspect and tighten after reworking your front end.
I would search the forum for "Death Wobble" and translate some of those pages rather than try to describe the whole process of evaluating the bearing tightness, Tie Rod End looseness, Drag Ling wear and several steering gear related adjustments screws you can check. Jacking up both tires and seeing where the wheels are sloppy would be a 2nd step after you check your air pressure of 30Lbs (2.068 Bar)

Or:
"I had quite a wobble at around 30mph. Checked my tie rod ends as they had been replaced and I had installed new bearings on both front wheels so I checked those too.
After doing some research on the "G", realized that I had the dreaded death wobble syndrome. Sure enough when I tore my front knuckles down to the king pins I had 5 lbs pull on the left knuckle and 6 lbs on the right. A shim pack install and both knuckles are now at 17 lbs pull. Range is 14 to 17lbs, I went for the maximum. She moves very smoothly now."

O:
"Ho avuto una certa oscillazione a circa 30 miglia all'ora.
