Hey all,
I posted some other places with no feedback. I’m looking at picking up a repro low windshield for my slat, The one thing I’m not able to find is the windshield hold downs on the hood. I can’t find any repros and I can’t even locate a photo of what they look like/where they are mounted. Anyone have a picture of what they look like?
For the conversion here’s what I’m thinking I need
Windshield
Hold downs on hood/relocated holes
New top?
Relocate hood bumpers.

Re: Low Windshield Hold Down
Unfortunately I don't think anybody sells repros of those. Although I am unable to find it now, there was a post out there where someone had taken standard windshield latches and welded in a 2" spliced section on each one.
Here are some pictures of originals.

Re: Low Windshield Hold Down
I wondered the same, but in the thread linked above it looks like the hold downs themselves are mounted lower, about the same level as the hood catch.
Thanks, that is helpful. I suppose just welding in a rod and extending them wouldn't be too difficult. Seems like the simple task of installing the correct hood will require quite a few modifications.ajlang wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 2:27 pmUnfortunately I don't think anybody sells repros of those.
