slat air cleaner screws

Post by parker007 » Sat Aug 13, 2022 7:42 pm

Im getting ready to service my pancake air cleaner on a slat and it has standard 6 point bolts. My question is what was the 4 original bolts used to attach the air cleaner to the brackets? 6 point, stamped wing, or cast wing? thanks

I'm pretty sure it is 'cast wing'....what I have on mine.

I think very early were wing cast, then wing stamped. These look stamped.

Good question. 111050 with a DoD of 1-13-1942 had the stamped ones. The assembly manual that picture is from was released APRIL 15, 1942.
