Fat Rear shaft

Post by Wally P » Wed Feb 16, 2022 5:05 am

Hello,

My spare parts bin revealed a "fat' rear shaft, however, I'm unsure if this is for a SG.

Does anyone have the length and diameter and a photo or two?

If confirmed as for a SG, I'll sell it if there is value to someone.

Thank you in advance.

Wally

Fat Rear shaft

My 1/19/43 MB had a fat rear drive shaft originally. They’re not just for slats. I can’t tell you for sure when they were all used up though. Unfortunately, I no longer have it because of “reasons”.

Here it is setting in the horse trailer:

I just picked up GPW 66808 with a fat rear shaft. It did have a pancake air filter and M38 wheels, so...take it with a grain of salt

To all that responded, many thanks!!

Based on the photos, it confirmed what we have is indeed for a Slat Grill.

This was sandblasted and primed with epoxy.

It has no dings, dents or blemishes of any kind and would come complete with mounting yolk to transfer case.

PM me if there is any interest in purchase.
