Greetings,
Having acquired my first Willys after having a GPW, I thought my days of being obsessive about bolts was over. In fact I thought I was "f"ing done with it.
Apparently Willys have marked bolts too. EC and TR-20. I believe TR-20 is correct for Slat.
So is there is a list anywhere of what bolts are TR-20 or EC or unmarked for my restoration. The bolt heads on my slat are all pretty much toast for any markings.
Thanks,
LTC (ret) Tim

Re: Slat bolt markings
I dont see much info on here either for these, lots of what people have found but nothing firm except maybe for TR20's. wonder if there is a Facebook page for slatgrills where some replies will help out.

Re: Slat bolt markings
Having done substantial work on my SG over the last couple years with respect to the small detail items, I will pass on the advice that I was given. Please read this entire forum. There is much good information on the bolts and where to source them. And yes, you will be looking globally, and yes there are different bolts with different markings on different parts of the vehicle. This does make it a little bit more difficult than just putting a script "F" on everything.

Re: Slat bolt markings
The advice to search the forum is good. Just google G503 Slat Grille bolts, it's faster.
I have seen a lot of original jeeps over the past 40 years and would give this simple insight for a Slat Grille. TR20's for anything that is attached to the body. For the chassis, drive train, axles, etc. you can use AA, A, TR, CTR, ATR and blank (in some applications).
I'm sure others will chime in but this is a good starting point.
There are perfect repro TR20's available so that eliminates that challenge.
Hope this helps.

Marc Belanger is the source for the outstanding TR20 bolts for attaching the body parts.
