slat grill wheel for trade

Post by NC flatfender » Thu Feb 11, 2021 3:12 pm

I am working on two CJ2As, and have a single solid wheel. Someone who knows more than I do pointed out that the wheel I have is from a slat grill MB. I would like to trade it for 2A parts. I would be interested in wheels that would match others I have, preferably the 16" M38 wheels with the 1/8" hole. Other items I need are both front seat frames, a decent steering wheel (the later style, to fit a '48), rear PTO accessories, governor assembly, maybe some other stuff.
I also have some L 134 stuff, but most of it is not MB. One exception may be the front cover for a timing chain engine.

Here is a link to some pictures

I had a set of tires mounted today for a different vehicle, and had the tire removed from the solid wheel. I haven't taken pictures yet, but the inside measurement is 4"

I received a message from Lee in TX, but I don't think I can reply yet. It does not appear as an option (at least to this non IT person).
You asked what I was interested in trading for. I am looking for M38 wheels, seat frames for 2A, steering wheel for late 2A ('48), governor or driven accessories for rear PTO, possibly other Willys stuff.
I do not think I need any L134 parts.

I have 2 m38 wheels. Looks like lots of lug hole and center hole work is going to be needed to ride on this though, so I dont think a governor will be in the deal. Pictures?

Hey Adam. I was just throwing out a laundry list of stuff I could use, and I would expect a governor to be worth more than a wheel. I was hoping to get 2 M38 wheels. I don't think I can use private messaging yet.
If you could send pictures of your wheels, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Grant Walker

Hey TwoCar. Sorry for the late reply. I never saw a PM. I have been pretty busy and am just now checking back to the forum.
I have not firmed up the details, but a deal to trade the wheel is pending. If it falls through, I will let you know.

Unfortunately, new members PM privileges don't kick in until you've got more posts under your belt.
