Engine # help

Post by Romar » Fri Sep 13, 2019 4:02 am

Hi again,
could anyone tell me about this block number?
right side under oil filter is #641087 then L-W11 A N1-CR N2
on the left side towards the back down at the bottom is #7-25

on the head in the front if it is #6-48 under this number is #800376 and under that number is a tag that looks like it has 2 screws holding it in place with July 4 stamped on it and it also has the word JEEP on the head
thanks Romar

Block is cj2a 1946 to 49 head is M38 50 to 52, The 6-48 These heads might have a compression ration on them, if not I dont know what that is, for a date it seems out of wack. Does it say willys too, or anything else? It should have a water outlet on the front side.

I’m sure that would be “6.48”. BW
