Front bumper brackets and hardware

Post by steven ellis » Thu Aug 22, 2019 7:15 pm

The question for the group is....what is the correct number of spacer tubes per frame horn? 1, or 2? Inside or outside if single? Were they also welded to the lower bracket at factory ?about 1/2 inch, long tack

My 2 frames appear to tell me 1 spacer and welded @ btm outside only

In case it matters, this subject is only directed to 2 piece battery tray frames

Yes. Mine has single, outside and the lower ends are welded. I can feel a tiny tack weld at the upper end as well.

There are definitely some markings under the layers of paint, but three are tough to make out. The fourth has something that looks like a broad H with sloped sides, or an I with curved top and bottom lines.....nothing that I have seen on a Willys in the past.
