That is great that you are not going to remove the cowl battery box and door!

If you read the link I posted on the jeeps tested you may be confused on what you are reading as it is just a summary.

It appears from looking at the information on the tests that the MBs used 12v batteries for the 26amp generators in the original battery spot, 2 - 6volt batteries behind the seats for the 55 amp PTO driven generator and a cowl mounted battery in the 40 amp generator jeep tests only.

That would be 2 MB for each of the 4 Boards testing the jeep and we actually know the serial (hood) numbers for four of the eight jeeps in this configuration. Those are shown in the link

I might ask anyone who has reviewed this information to concur or give another explanation? Fred... or BobW?

Thanks Mark,
I have been busy starting a new job and trying to finish a couple projects with another ready to come in. I am curious how a slat grill tub got this conversion. Seems like 1943 was the model year they were using for this?

I will have to reread the reports and see if there’s any mention on where the jeeps came from to test. They’re in a box in storage as I’m to move in a few weeks. I will try and do that soon.
