Knicking away at the rusty problems on this 12/31/41 Slat tub. Ernie got this one from Michael "Dino" Danieli some years back and now we are attacking it. Matt Parry, Chuck Lutz, Paul Fitzgerald and myself are gonna see it gets done.

I envy the space in your shop. I'm about to start replacing the hat channels of Nov '41 body.

I wish I had a crew to help me! My Slat tub is next in line to be restored...I'll be keeping the guys I hired for the other ones in business for a while.

Looking forward to seeing this Slat come together.

After an early morning discussion of the days plan, we squeeze out the door and try to accomplish what it was we were talking about doing.

Here is my finished slat project that these animals put their time into. Of course I had to keep cracking the whip but they helped "get her done!"

Oh... and another one of our group projects that "stretched" our imaginations. :?

We've done more but are probably to ashamed to admit or display them.

YEP...we'll have to watch for stuff like that in the future. Thanks for the reminder, safety first. Now wheres the guard on that grinder?

Ernie, Matt Parry, Chuck and I were there today despite the poor air quality in Santa Rosa. Got some more done... :D

Chuck worked on getting the passenger side toe board support cleaned up and ready for install. Needed a another piece to complete it so it is on hold for the future.

Due to the fires in Norcal, we sort of got sidetracked helping out with our friend Gary William's loss. He lost his home, 4 Jeeps and a couple of really nice trailers. It was a sad scene to say the least however, we are back at it with Ernies project now and will stick with it hopefully till it is driving. Here was last weekends highlights... :)

We got the floor and driver side rust areas all replaced and then replaced the step on that side. The main hat channel across the mid section of that floor got replaced and a section of the one under the drivers side.

Chuck, Ernie, Matt, Keith, Gary and I all managed to get by without being berated for our intellectual deficiencies by Paul Fitzgerald who was going in for surgery on his hand (no comments). Hopefully he is up to par again soon.

Next step...rear floor replacement.
