Accurate colors of wartime MB/GPW's

Post by JPK » Sun Aug 08, 2010 10:35 am

I'm building a model of a WWII Jeep and want to know what the most accurate colors were for the engine and radiator, etc.. I know the bodies/frames/undercarrage were OD or gray for USN jeeps but were the engines and other under the hood components also sprayed OD/Gray as the bodies? Are there photos of accurately restored MB's online where I can view to recreate the proper colors. I didn't know where to post this. I hope this forum is ok. Thanks for any help.

It depends if the jeep was a contract Navy jeep or a Army jeep that was used by the Navy.

What are you looking to do... paint an Army jeep gray?
