FS: Late Occupation Era Tinplate Tank

Post by AZ Jeff » Sun Oct 25, 2009 1:46 pm

Howdy Folks,

I have a neat little German-Made American Tinplate Clockwork Tank to sell...

Image

This mechanical gem measures 3.5" long and features a remarkably complex clockwork, key-wound drive with a sparking feature under the rotating turret. It is missing the key and currently "bound up" inside but appears to be complete. Body and chassis are lithographed steel with neat occupation era markings. It obviously represents the M26 Pershing and M46 Patton tanks common to the area during that period and is marked Made in Western Germany by the Arnold company. Tracks are articulated stamped steel driven on silver plastic bogies. The barrel is O.D. plastic. Earlier occupation era toy tanks like this were simply U.S. marked versions of the toys made during the Third Reich.

Overall VG for it's 50+ years.

Price is $50, postpaid Priority Mail in the Lower 48. Please PM direct if you are interested. PayPal accepted and preferred. Thanks for looking!
