Trans High Lock Indicator

Post by Kurt Lesser » Sat Dec 04, 2021 9:43 am

Could someone clarify exactly when the transfer case High Lock switch started being installed? Was it a retrofit that was cut into the production line at some point?

A conversion kit changed the 218C XFR to the 242 XFR, propshafts and had the Lock Led. This was in the PS Book 592 dated Mar 02.
A1 models had the supplemental harness. As the A2 model changes were designed, the harness incorporated the change.

Two Lock Leds are out there. Main difference is the Ground wire length. One was longer as the cylinder head ground point was changed.

Thanks Mark, Do you happen to have the install diagram from that kit that shows the location of the mounting hole for the lamp?
